So what makes the Orion Hotel Bishkek such a good hotel? I’ll talk about my experience and you can see for yourself.
Friendly Service
Upon arriving at the doors of Orion Hotel Bishkek, I was immediately greeted by kind staff that handled all my heavy luggage and took them straight to my room. The staff at the check-in counter dealt with my check-in swiftly and efficiently, answering all my questions about where to eat, the Wi-Fi password, gym and swimming pool opening hours patiently and kindly.
Throughout my stay, I would ask questions about Kyrgyzstan and things to do around the area, and the staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. I had dinner twice at the Symphony Restaurant and the dining staff were also absolutely delightful.
Location
Orion Hotel Bishkek is perfectly located in the heart of Bishkek city, in short walking distance to the capital’s major attractions such as Ala-Too Square, Panfilov Park, Central Mosque and Victory Square. Shopping malls such as Bishkek Park, Vefa Center and Asia Mall are also not too far away on foot.
Even though the hotel’s location is strategically central, it’s tucked away enough on a quiet street that you won’t get the noise of the main streets flowing into your room. There are also some really cute food trucks parked right outside the hotel, as well as some cafés and restaurants within a 2-minute walk. I tried a Korean restaurant called Bingsoo, which was just around the corner, and it was amazing! I would recommend trying this place if you’re staying at Orion Hotel Bishkek.
Rooms
I stayed at the Deluxe King Room at the Orion Hotel Bishkek, and I found the room to be spacious, clean, beautifully designed and most importantly, supremely comfortable.
The hotel contains 84 rooms, ranging from Deluxe Twin Rooms right through to their opulent Presidential Suite, so there’s something to fit every budget here.
Facilities
By the time I landed in Bishkek, I was pretty tired from trekking around Armenia, Georgia, Uzbekistan and Turkey. I travelled in July, so the weather was constantly hot! You can imagine how relieved I was when I found out about Orion Hotel’s facilities.
Caption: At the Elixir Spa, guests can utilise an exceptionally well-equipped fitness centre, pool and thermal areas, and treat themselves to massage treatments.
In particular, I really enjoyed the pool and thermal area. I was able to not only use the massive swimming pool (a great relief after being out in 40-degree Celsius weather), but also the jacuzzi, stream room and sauna.
Dining
During my time at the Orion Hotel Bishkek, I had the pleasure of dining at the Symphony Restaurant 5 times - three times for breakfast, and twice for dinner. On every occasion, not only did I enjoy the food, but I also noticed that the service was outstanding. The staff here treated me like royalty and were always super attentive to my needs. I would definitely recommend dining at the restaurant – I ordered the Carbonara and did not regret it one bit!

The restaurant serves a blend of European, Mediterranean and Kyrgyz food, presenting a truly international culinary experience to guests.
Apart from the restaurant, the hotel is also home to Pishpek Bar, an all-day, all-night bar that serves delicious cocktails and other drinks. Guests can also enjoy a casual coffee or snack in the Lobby Lounge.
