Best Quad Bike Riding Tour in Fiji – Our Experience
/Fiji is full of adventure just waiting to be discovered. From mud baths, beaches, hiking trails and waterfalls – it’s a true nature-lover’s true paradise. We recently visited Nadi for a few days filled with fun and adrenaline. One of the most exciting things we did was go on a Quad Bike Riding Tour around the city, visiting some of Fiji’s best attractions.
Here’s how our experience went!
Picking a Quad Bike Tour in Fiji: Our Recommendation
For this tour, we went with the highly rated provider, Go Dirty Tours Fiji. They are the specialists in scooter, quad bike/ATV, motorbike rentals and tours and were by far and away the best reviewed when it came down to quad bike and ATV tour safety, customer service and overall quality of their tours.
We also chose them not only based on Go Dirty Tours’ great reputation, but their itineraries. As we were keen not to just go ATV riding – but also to explore Nadi itself – we were impressed that their Mud Soothe tour also included visits to some of Nadi’s best things-to-do.

Quad Bike Riding Safety Briefing and Information
Upon getting picked up by a friendly staff member at our hotel, we were on our way to the Go Dirty Tours base. It’s here that we were carefully briefed on how to use the ATVs and equipped with all the necessary safety gear such as elbow pads, knee pads, safety glasses and helmets.
After this, you’ll have the opportunity to go for a test drive around the base. The area has been set up as a mini-course for you to try out turns, driving through mud and accelerating/braking. We drove around for a few minutes and this gave us a good handle for what driving the vehicle was really like.
One thing to note is that the tour provider will ask whether you would prefer to pay 30FJD in cash as a collision damage waiver, or a much larger credit card hold that will be refunded at the end of the experience if no accidents happen to the vehicle. I would recommend opting for the 30FJD cash waiver. Driving the quad bike did not feel dangerous at any point at all, but the cash waiver is a small amount to pay for that peace of mind, in my opinion.
What To See in Fiji on a Quad Bike or ATV
Once you’ve gotten accustomed to driving the quad bike, it’s time to hit the streets of Nadi! Your first quick stop will be to one of the Nadi Markets, where you’ll be able to stock up on any food and snacks for the day.
It’s always great to take in the fresh smells and sights of a bustling market, and this visit was no different.
Next up was the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, an enclave of 2,000+ types of orchids. Our visit here was super peaceful, as we were able to drive right through to the entrance of the garden, park our ATVs, then have some free time to explore the gardens.
After that was probably my favourite stop of the day – the Tifajek Mud Pools and Hot Springs (also known as the Sabeto Mud Pools and Hot Springs).
This is one of the must-do’s in any visit to Fiji. It’s here that you’ll be able to lather yourself up with mud, dip yourself into a mud pool before rinsing off in the relaxing hot springs. Such a refreshing and relaxing experience!
Before returning back to base, we drove through Wailoaloa Beach for some adrenaline-filled off-roading on the beach. It was wet and windy at the time, which made the experience even wilder. True to the tour name, I was indeed left ‘dirty’ by the end of the tour – but that was exactly the adventure I was looking for.
At the base, we enjoyed the lunch that was provided for us, before getting dropped off back to our hotel.
What’s Included In The Quad Bike Tour? What do I need to Bring?
The tour company provides all safety gear needed, as well as multiple tour guides to help you out throughout the day. Entrance to all the attractions are included, as well as return hotel transfers from Denarau and Nadi. A sandwich lunch was also included for the day.
Please remember to bring a valid Full Driver’s License as otherwise you will not be able to drive a vehicle! Closed toe footwear is also a must – please do not wear sandals. I would also advise you to bring a change of clothes, some cash, sunscreen, a towel and swimming clothes and sunglasses.
Final Verdict – How Was Our Experience on this Quad Bike Tour in Fiji?
I can’t describe in words enough how exhilarating this quad bike experience was. There is something so liberating about driving an ATV vehicle, feeling the wind encompass you as you pass through lush landscapes.
Overall, this was one of the best experiences I had in my time in Fiji, and I would definitely recommend it to you guys. It was a great way to not only experience the adventure of quad bike riding, but also check out some of Nadi’s most famous sights.
Thank you to the Go Dirty Tours team for running such a seamless, well-organised tour! We’ll be back for more one day.
