Blissfully intimate, timelessly elegant, and inspiringly romantic, Le Jadis Beach Resort & Wellness Mauritius stands out for its thoughtful design and innovative green features. Set amidst native greenery, beautifully landscaped grounds, and splendid pools, this resort is the embodiment of an idyllic island getaway. Here’s my review of this stunning retreat.

Getting to Le Jadis
The best way to reach Le Jadis is by rental car, no matter where you’re coming from in Mauritius. If you’re arriving at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, it’s just under an hour’s drive to the resort, with ample parking available on-site. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or book a pre-arranged transfer with the resort. Since Mauritius is an island best explored by car, I highly recommend renting one for your trip—you’ll definitely make good use of it.

We stayed in the Luxury Oceanfront Pool Suite with a Heated Pool, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The room was incredibly spacious and featured a dedicated ‘getting ready’ room with a double vanity, a stone bathtub, and a massive shower.

The highlight, however, was our private heated infinity pool overlooking Turtle Bay. One morning, we enjoyed a floating breakfast in the pool, surrounded by stunning views and the soothing sounds of the sea. It was truly a magical experience. This was, without a doubt, one of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The resort also offers other rooms and suites, some even more extravagant, ensuring there’s something for every luxury traveller.

Dining Experience at Le Jadis
How was our dining experience at Le Jadis?
During our stay, we opted for the half-board package, which included breakfast and dinner at the resort each day. Le Jadis boasts several dining venues, including:
Sylea - A French & European restaurant where you’ll enjoy breakfast every morning and can also have dinner.
Sylea Bar & Lounge - The hotel’s bar, where you can also enjoy tapas and snacks.
Passion Creole - A poolside restaurant offering Mauritian, Creole, and International favorites, with some tables set directly in the pool.
Passion Swim-Up Pool Bar - Swim up to the bar for a refreshing drink.
Oryza - An Asian cuisine restaurant.
Cruso on the Beach - A seafood restaurant located on the shores of Turtle Bay.
In-suite dining, catamaran dining, and destination dining on the beach can also be arranged. Most of our meals were enjoyed at Oryza and Sylea, where we had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the live music every night added a special touch. I especially loved the Indonesian dishes at Oryza. My tip: order early, as the resort can get busy with guests.

I also participated in a Cocktail Making Class (Mixology 101) at the hotel bar, where we learned how to make Mauritian passionfruit rum—a super fun and refreshing experience!
