About Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels
The Elegant Hotels umbrella of hotels has earned quite the reputation for housing some of the best all-inclusive, luxurious, comfortable resorts in the island country of Barbados. Elegant Hotels is managed by the Marriott group, so it’s no wonder that their accommodation options are of a world-class standard.
With almost all of the properties in the group boasting gorgeous beachfront locations, alluring swimming pools, carefully curated suites and the option for all-inclusive food and beverages, its properties are perfectly designed for those looking to elevate their Barbados resort experience.
Treasure Beach, in particular, is famous for its ideal location on Paynes Bay Beach – a stunning beach featuring calm, blue waters – as well as its range of complimentary activities on offer such as painting, water sports, yoga classes and more.
It’s important to note that Treasure Beach is an Adult-only property.
Getting to Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels & Information on other Elegant Hotels properties
Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels is conveniently located in the Paynes Bay Beach area, close to the areas of Durants and Fitts Village. From Bridgetown Airport (BGI), the resort is about a 30-minute drive away. While it is possible to get here using Barbados’ public bus system, I would recommend booking a direct airport transfer with the property.
Otherwise, there will be taxi drivers at the airport who can take you to the resort.
Just a side note that other hotels in the Elegant Hotels suite, such as Tamarind and The House are in walking distance of Treasure Beach. Crystal Cove, another stunning property, is reachable via a short water taxi provided by the resort. As a guest of Treasure Beach, you will be able to visit and use the facilities in these properties free of charge. This includes their water activities, swimming pools, fitness rooms and more. You will also be able to have either lunch or dinner at a sister property if you are booked on an all-inclusive basis.
My room at Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels
I stayed at a Deluxe One Bedroom Ocean View Suite, which is one of the top room categories in the resort. My suite was absolutely stunning. I opened the door and was immediately greeted by a beautiful long corridor and mini-kitchen area, before entering the colourfully decorated living room.
Connected to the living room and bedroom, my spacious balcony was one of the highlights of my stay. Featuring a view of the luxurious swimming pool area - as well as Paynes Bay Beach itself – I spent many sunsets sipping away my mango juice, relishing the views.
On the other side of the balcony, a heated private plunge pool was the perfect touch to cooling down after a hot day on the beach.
Moving on to the big bedroom, I found the bed to be extremely comfortable. My suite also featured a convenient walk-in closet. The bathroom was also another focal point, as it not only featured a large shower, double vanity, toilet and bidet, but also a separate room dedicated to a stand-alone bathtub with a sun roof concept.
Overall, my suite at Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels was definitely one of the most memorable I’ve had.

Food and Beverage at Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels
When staying at an All-Inclusive resort, the quality of food and beverage is crucial. If you’re going to be dining in the hotel for every meal, you’d want to choose a resort that not only serves high-quality food, but also high quality service.
Luckily, from start to finish, I thoroughly enjoyed all my dining experiences at the property’s Tapestry Restaurant. Starting with breakfast - the resort provides a wide buffet selection, but you can also order from a curated menu.
At lunch, I especially enjoyed a refreshing smoked shrimp salad. Dinner was also a major highlight – with authentic Caribbean dishes available to order, as well as all-time favourites such as carbonara linguine.
Beverages are also included in an all-inclusive rate – this includes cocktails, juices, coffee and any other drinks. I definitely took advantage of this by ordering from the wide selection of juices.
Also, the restaurant staff were always friendly and helpful, and made the experience all the better.
Please note that you should make a reservation for lunch and dinner through the front desk. If you forget to do this, usually the staff are flexible enough to slot you in (but it’s better practice to schedule ahead of time).
Facilities, Hotel Grounds & Other Activities
At a lavish resort such as Treasure Beach, I didn’t have many other plans apart from just relaxing in my room and on the beach, but there is a lot to do at the property if you’re looking for more activities.
The property features a well-equipped fitness room, as well as a cute little library housing novels, magazines and other books.
One of the best things about Treasure Beach is the sheer range of activities available every night. For example, during my stay, the property offered cooking classes, ‘sip and paint’ events, a sundowner event, seaside yoga, movie night and a meditation session.
Upon arrival, you’ll receive a schedule of upcoming activities and you’ll be able to select which ones you’d like to join.
Apart from this, you’ll find complimentary water activities such as banana boat and kayaking available by walking over to neighbouring Tamarind Beach by Elegant Hotels. You can also check out Treasure Beach’s sister properties and use their facilities.
Of course, if you’re in Barbados, you’re probably looking to soak up the sun and water on your trip. Treasure Beach is equipped with a lovely pool, right in front of Paynes Bay Beach – one of the best beaches in the country.
There was never a dull moment at the property, and I think you’d feel the same way staying here.
Staff
Traveling around the Caribbean countries, I do find that service quality can range quite a bit. However, I had no issue at all with the staff at Treasure Beach and found them to be extremely accommodating and helpful.
I arrived quite late to the property as my flight was delayed, and had missed dinner time. However, the staff had still so kindly plated me up a dinner to enjoy in my room after checking in.
From my driver, to the check-in staff, to the restaurant staff, I was always greeted by welcoming and friendly vibes. I really have to commend the hotel’s management for cultivating this culture and upholding high standards for their service.
Final Verdict – Should I stay at Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels?
Staying at Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels was one of my best experiences in the Caribbean region, and I would love to come back and stay again one day. This really was an-all-inclusive experience that left me feeling spoiled, relaxed and fulfilled.
From my gorgeous, spacious suite, to the stunning beachfront location, to the hospitality of its staff – my stay at Treasure Beach was fantastic, and I couldn’t speak more highly of the property.
